Please join us in welcoming Dr. Dan Ma as a core faculty member with BIAC. She began her tenure at Duke on January 1st as an Associate Professor in the Departments of Neurosurgery and Biomedical Engineering. Dr. Ma’s research focuses on the development and clinical translation of innovative MRI technologies aimed at enhancing the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of various diseases.
Her ongoing work includes research on the early detection of brain tumors, epilepsy, and multiple sclerosis using MR fingerprinting, a cutting-edge MRI technique she co-invented.
Before joining Duke, Dr. Ma was an Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Radiology at Case Western Reserve University, where she also earned her PhD at the Case Western Reserve School of Medicine.
