BIAC welcomes Amalia Desir as a Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Madden Lab!

BIAC researchers Jenna Merenstein, Hollie Mullin, and David Madden demonstrated that age-related differences in fMRI activation, during a visual target discrimination task, reflected both the overall efficiency of search and the enhancement from salient targets. Analyses of visual search reaction time indicated that age-related increases in sensorimotor response time occurred across all task conditions, but an age-related decrease in the rate of evidence accumulation (drift rate) was specific to conditions in which the target was difficult to discriminate (conjunction search).
